I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead!
How many times have you heard this phrase? Does it feel like something we should be proud of, like a scar or a badge of honour?
The myth that we will “sleep when we are dead” is total bullshit! Yep, you heard me! This kind of belief can be destructive and dangerous.
We all need sleep. Our bodies need rest to rejuvenate and revive.
A certain percentage of the community can survive on less sleep than most of us, but that does not mean that YOU can try to be that person.
So many of us work long hours, work beyond our deadlines, work multiple jobs, and work night shifts.
Can you imagine working at your absolute best with less than your best nights sleep? Have you tried performing to your true capacity with only a couple of hours sleep? How well did that work for you?
